The Tractor Truck Mechanic?s role is to repair tractors and oversee the work done by the Apprentice Mechanics to assure it is completed correctly. Also responsible to mentor and coach the team. · Diagnose required repairs and order parts as required for repairs · Repair and maintain engines · Repair and diagnostics of front and rear axles, drivelines and suspension and electrical systems. · Perform preventative maintenance inspections, with completed reports for floor lead and Director of Maintenance. · Perform oil and fluid changes · Perform all repairs necessary to get equipment safely on the road · Review work orders and prioritize work as required or as per Floor Lead. · Cleaning and sanitizing the garage on a weekly basis. · Maintain a safe and tidy working area. · Mentor and support Apprentice Mechanics, interns and students. · Review repairs to assure work is done correctly where required. · Demonstrate the initiative to learn and improve skills · Demonstrate a clear understanding of organizational objectives and aligns position to strategic requirements. · Express and transit information with consistency and clarity. · Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work commitments. · Follow organizational guidelines, professional standards, regulations and principles. · Demonstrates reliability and integrity on a daily basis. · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. *Qualifications:* · Mechanic License 310T and related education requirements and experience · Knowledge of Excel, Word and other MS Office software · Excellent organizational, negotiation, communication, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills · Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication · Fluent in English, verbal and written · Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 8 hour shift Work Location: In person- LocationEtobicoke, ON
