Position: Security GuardSite: IGPC Ethanol Inc.Site Address: 89 Progress Drive, Aylmer, ON N5H 2R9 Status: Full TimeHours: Rotating 2 week night schedule - 1800-0600hrs Week #1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday Week #2 - Sunday, Wednesday, ThursdayPay Rate: $18.75Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement - calculating after 88 hours bi-weeklyPosting Date: November 4, 2024Closing Date: November 11, 2024The day-to-day work activities of a Security Guard working at IGPC include, but are not limited, the following duties: Control entry and access to the plant and maintain accurate logs of those entering and leaving the plantWeigh Scale OperationShipping/Receiving duties of inbound/outbound deliveriesReport safety non-compliances and all incidents to specified IGPC representative Aid in incident mitigation and investigations when requiredAid in emergency responses and first aid measures when requiredAid in IGPC Health and Safety programs/procedures when requiredMaintain a helpful and professional affiliation with IGPC employees, carriers, contractors, and visitors Prevent, help manage, observe, detect, report: Thefts, break-ins, vandalismAccidents, fire, leaksArticles of value found Damage found to buildingHazardous conditionsUnauthorized parking on siteAny other circumstances and conditions not in line with good security practicesFollow additional practices as set out by IGPC when necessary The applicant must possess the following: Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer serviceGood interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse culturesAble to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situationsWrite clear, concise and legible reports Preferred skills/qualifications: Valid Ontario Security Guard license (required)Valid First Aid & CPR certificateExperience in a Truck Gate/Warehouse environmentPhysically capable of cutting truck bolt sealsProficient with Microsoft Office (required)Adaptable to In-house Software Other InformationPaladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE!
