Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Address customers' complaints or concerns. Professionalism in customer service. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck. Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Short-haul. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Bondable. Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel for extended periods. Willing to travel overnight.
