Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Staff accommodation provided. Tasks: Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform preventive maintenance. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Transportation/travel experience: Short-haul. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Medical exam. Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
