Join us in growing and achieving success together. *Position:* Casual Security Guard *Hours:* Various shifts (7:00 AM ? 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM ? 7:00 AM) *Payrate:* $21.27/hour *Key Responsibilities:* * Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols across hospital sites * Monitor and supervise patients, ensuring safety and adherence to policies * Manage conflicts and de-escalate situations calmly * Respond to incidents, write detailed reports, and investigate as necessary * Enforce parking and smoking regulations, ensuring compliance with hospital by-laws * Liaise with security management and hospital staff to meet operational needs * Perform additional duties as assigned *Requirements:* * Valid Ontario Security Guard License * First Aid & CPR Level C certification * Ability to pass N95 Mask Fit Test * Proof of COVID-19 vaccination * Up-to-date immunization records * Clear Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding * Strong communication skills in English (oral and written) *Additional Qualifications:* * Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) are required * Candidates without UoF/MOAB certification can complete in house training program before onboarding (training costs covered with a 6-month commitment) * Comfortable with patrolling, even in inclement weather * Able to work independently and as part of a team * Sit or stand for up to 12 hours per shift * Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively * Write detailed reports at the end of each shift *Additional Information:* * Onboarding training will take place in Kingston * Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset * 6+ months of customer service experience is an asset * Candidates must commit to availability for at least 6 months Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.27 per hour Schedule: * 12 hour shift * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationSmiths Falls, ON
