*Job Summary:*
The Business Development Director for Heavy Equipment Attachments will be responsible for driving growth and market expansion in the attachments sector. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, building and leading a high-performing sales team, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying new business opportunities to enhance our product offerings and market presence.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Strategic Planning:* Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and market trends in the heavy equipment industry.
* *Sales Team Development:* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team, establishing clear objectives, providing training, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve sales targets.
* *Market Analysis:* Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable business strategies.
* *Relationship Management:* Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, contractors, and other key industry players to expand our market reach and influence.
* *Sales Leadership:* Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets, leveraging effective sales techniques and strategies to drive performance.
* *Product Development:* Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to innovate and enhance attachment products based on market feedback and customer requirements.
* *Negotiation and Contracts:* Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favourable terms that align with business objectives.
* *Performance Tracking:* Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations for senior management to inform decision-making.
* *Budget Management:* Develop and manage the business development budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve growth targets.
* *Industry Representation:* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, promoting our products and networking with potential clients.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, preferred.
* 7+ years of experience in business development or sales within the heavy equipment or construction industry, with a focus on attachments.
* Proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams.
* Strong understanding of the heavy equipment market and key industry trends.
* Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
* Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
