Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premises. Duties Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action. Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order within the facility. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches. Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary during investigations or emergencies. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors as needed. \*\*Responsibilities:\*\* - Regularly patrol the property to make sure safety and security standards are being upheld, creating a secure environment for everyone. - Respond swiftly and thoughtfully to alarms and incidents, evaluating the situation and taking the right steps to keep everyone safe. - Work alongside law enforcement when needed, providing clear, detailed reports of any incidents or observations. - Implement smart loss prevention strategies to help protect against theft or property damage. - Keep an accurate, organized record of daily activities, incidents, and anything unusual that may come up. - Deliver friendly, helpful customer service by assisting visitors with their questions and ensuring they feel safe and welcome. \*\*Qualifications:\*\* - Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred. - Strong attention to detail with a keen sense of awareness and alertness at all times. - Clear and professional communication skills, both spoken and written. - Fluency in English is required to ensure effective communication. - Ability to stay calm, patient, and effective in high-stress situations. - Physically fit and able to manage standing for extended periods and carrying out patrol duties. - Physical strength is beneficial. - A valid security guard license or certification may be required depending on local regulations. - First Aid certification will be a bonus point. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $17.40-$22.33 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * On call * Overtime * Weekends as needed Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Security Guard Licence (required) Work Location: In person- LocationSurrey, BC
