Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone. Experience: Experience an asset. Green job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
