Responsibilities
Tasks

Advise clients on legal proceedings

Take legal action on landlord and tenant matters

Prepare wills, real estate transactions and other legal documents, court reports and affidavits

Represent clients in small claims court and in other lower court proceedings, at tribunals and before administrative bodies

Advocate on client’s behalf in courts or at hearings

Supervise professional, para-legal and support staff and articling students

Oversee the operation of company

Organise day-to-day business operations

Manage finances or budget

Ensure compliance with government regulations

Administer estate, personal, charitable, corporate and other types of trusts, direct trust account investments, receive and record investment income and disburse trust funds
