Job description *Job Posting* Production Assistant *Facility:* CannaCure Corporation, subsidiary of Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp. *Location: *Fort Erie, ON *Type: *Full-time *Start Date: *To be determined *Start Wage: *$18.50 per hour *Reports To:* Production Manager or Shift Supervisor *Position Summary* The Production Assistant will provide on-going support throughout the Production process. They will assist in all manner of manufacturing, extraction, fulfillment, and packaging functions. *Core Competencies* * Dependability * Follows direction * Collaborative * Multitasking * Good workplace housekeeping * Reliable attendance * Attention to detail * Teamwork *Job Duties* * Assist with extraction duties related to processing of raw material such as packing the extractors, running the extraction machines, daily cleaning and maintenance * Assist with packaging duties such as labelling, capping, applying stickers and shipping of product * Assist with duties relating to Cannabis 365 Enterprise Resource Planning software such as data collection and labelling batch records * Promote & maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area and facility by routinely cleaning and sterilizing equipment, including glassware and tools, components and infrastructure * Maintain batch production records in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) * Ensure compliance with safe work practices, Standard Operating Procedures and all applicable regulations * Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude * Promote and encourage teamwork and open communication * Communicate production updates and issues to Management on a timely basis * Communicate complex issues to Management for immediate resolution * Show respect and care for tools, technical equipment, and production facility * Work cohesively in a group or independently as required * Other duties as may be assigned from time to time *Qualifications* * Previous experience and knowledge of Cannabis industry production practices is an asset * High school diploma * Clean criminal record * Must be fluent in both spoken and written English * Demonstrate necessary comprehension of mathematics * Strong attention to detail * Team player with a collaborative attitude able to work cohesively in a group or independently as required *Working Conditions* * *Shift work will be required, which could include evenings, weekends, and holidays* * Working in a cannabis facility may trigger those with allergies, asthma, or sensitivities to odour * PPE Required: Masks, scrubs, gloves, hairnets, and safety shoes *Physical Requirements* * Standing and walking for long periods of time * Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching * Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail * The ability to lift approximately 20 pounds * The ability to respond quickly to sounds * The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations *Application Process:* * To apply please submit resume and cover letter through Indeed * CannaCure Corporation is an equal opportunity employer and we welcome applications from people with disabilities.
