Rainbow Greenhouses is a family owned business supplying floral products to major retailers across Canada. This is a great opportunity to grow with cutting edge company in the Horticulture Sector! *SUMMARY* The Merchandising Supervisor for the lower mainland will display and support the Rainbow merchandising process and standards. The individual will possess the ability to navigate and adapt to situations as they arise in the field as well. The Merchandising Supervisor will have the ability and willingness to travel their region on a regular basis throughout the year. *KEY* *ATTRIBUTES*: * Must be a team player- open to working with all members of the team and brainstorming ideas to make existing processes and new ones more efficient to benefit the entire team. * Positive attitude- approach all situations with a positive attitude as we are all in this together, there is no I in team. We will need to help and support of each member of the team for us all to grow in a positive direction. * Own it ? complete your job from start to finish making sure when it is handed off, it has been approached with 100% effort and it has been explained and communicated by the best of your ability to do so. *RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO* * Manage a team of associates over multiple locations * Hire associates across all locations * Train all new associates through the onboarding process * Tour stores to ensure the team is executing the Rainbow merchandising directives * Build strong relationships with your team, working hands on in the field with them regularly and assist in the stocking/merchandising of incoming product * Build and maintain strong store team relationships * Be prepared for long days in spring and summer as the needs of the business sometimes go past 8 hour working day and this includes Saturday?s *QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS* * 3-5 years of field management retail experience * Tech savvy * Proficient in Office 365, pdf and office programs (MS Outlook, Word, Excel) * Ability to maneuver through multiple in store programs and teams at one time * Strong customer service skills * Strong ability to thrive under pressure and be adaptable to any given situation * Excellent people skills, adaptability, self-directed, organizational skills, problem solving, physically capable of manual labor We are excited to hire for this position as this person will play a key role in the success of our upcoming and future merchandising at Rainbow Greenhouses.
