*Location:* Thunder Bay with travel to Namaygoosisagagun and other communities as required.
*Department:* Health
*Reports to:* Health Manager
*Job Type:* Full-time
*Job Summary:* We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team. The Youth Worker will play a crucial role in supporting young people in their personal, social, and educational development. The ideal candidate will engage with youth in a variety of settings, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them navigate challenges and achieve their goals.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Build positive relationships with young people, fostering trust and openness.
* Provide support and guidance to youth in areas such as education, life skills, and personal development.
* Implement and facilitate programs, activities, and workshops that promote personal growth and social engagement.
* Advocate for youth needs and connect them with appropriate resources and services.
* Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community organizations to foster a supportive network for young people.
* Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, providing feedback to improve services and initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of youth interactions and program activities.
* Attend team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Previous experience working with youth, preferably in a community or educational setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse youth populations.
* Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
* First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
* G class Driver?s License
* Background check may be required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.96-$29.53 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
