*Production Scheduler Job Summary*
We are a painting facility located in Langley where we pre-finish doors, mouldings and millwork for the construction industry. We are seeking an experienced, self-starting individual to join our company as a Production Scheduler.
As part of our production team, you will maintain production schedules, maximizing effectiveness and throughput in all aspects of the production process. You will also balance incoming sales orders with existing capacity and backlog, distribute upcoming schedules to team leaders and supervisors, and coordinate with our leadership team to ensure ideal staffing levels and coverage. This is a specialized position, and our ideal candidate has considerable professional experience within a production environment, especially as related to a painting facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules and targets
· Balance existing labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput
· Examine all aspects of the scheduling process, including historical data, to improve production processes wherever possible
· Report to the leadership team regarding existing orders, challenges, and production forecasting
· Communicating with customers on all production related topics
· Work in collaboration with Plant Managers to establish reasonable lead times to meet customer demands
· Ensure daily entries into Production control System are accurate
· Generate sales orders
· Improve existing production control system

Requirements and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, administration, or relevant field preferred
* Three years in a production environment, especially in production scheduling
* Strong organizational acumen and problem-solving ability
* Proficiency in computer skills, including Quick Books and Google Documents.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Superb organizational skills with the ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail
* Ability to add value as an individual contributor and an active team member
* Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive team.
* Demonstrated ability to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
