*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients in a clinical setting. This position requires a strong background in patient care, acute care, and medication administration, with a focus on pediatrics and medical terminology. The Clinical Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
*Responsibilities*
* Review and interpret medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
* Provide clinical consultations to healthcare providers regarding medication therapy.
* Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as necessary.
* Educate patients and their families about medications, including proper administration and potential side effects.
* Conduct medication reconciliation
* Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to medication management.
* Maintain accurate records of medication therapies and interventions.
*Requirements*
* Active pharmacist license in Alberta.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacotherapy principles.
* Excellent communication skills for effective patient care and collaboration with healthcare teams.
* Ability to work efficiently in a community Pharmacy environment.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in pharmacotherapy.

Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 ? 40 per week
