Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: School or educational institution/establishment. Children's services facility. Tasks: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors. Dust furniture. Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Wash windows, walls and ceilings. Perform routine maintenance. Maintain supplies. Clean, polish and wax furniture. Wash and clean interior and exterior windows and other glass surfaces. Vacuum floors. Shampoo upholstery. Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors). Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures. Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Mix and add detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches and other solutions and chemicals. Ensure safety procedures are followed. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Walking.
