Eurofins companies offer a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products.</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>In 2023, Eurofins generated total revenues of EUR 6.515 billion, and has been among the best performing stocks in Europe over the past 20 years.</em></strong></p><strong><br>Job Description</strong><p>Reporting directly to the BUMa/designee, the Scientific Specialist will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and analysis within the Chemistry team for method development, method transfer and routine analysis of raw material, bulk and finished products. This is a deadline-based, high-pressure work environment with on-going projects for a variety of clients. The Scientific Specialist will have experience in handling advanced instrumentation analyses and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The incumbent must be energetic, exceedingly well-organized, flexible, and must have the ability to interact with customers and staff in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.</p><p><strong>The Scientific Specialist must:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform method development, method validation, method transfer and routine analyses using various instrumentation</li><li>Learn and apply knowledge with additional advanced instrumentation techniques (HPLC, LC, LC-MS/MS, GC, GC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, etc.) and software (ChemStation/OpenLab, Empower, Chromeleon, Analyst, Mass Hunter) as necessary.</li><li>Review data, prepare protocols and reports to ensure testing projects meet the timeline.</li><li>Train new Analysts to perform various techniques</li><li>Perform sample preparation and analysis and execute a number of routine/non-routine methods and procedures including method development, validation, verification and sample testing.</li><li>Perform instrument calibration, qualification and preventative maintenance program as necessary.</li><li>Perform investigations and troubleshoot non-confirmatory results or methods</li><li>Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, ISO/GMP/GLP requirements.</li><li>Ensure methods within assigned realm of responsibilities are implemented accurately (per source method or validated laboratory method/SOP).</li><li>Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by ISO17025, GMP (if applicable), government regulatory and company requirements relevant to assigned duties.</li><li>Maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes.</li><li>Guide, mentor and train juni
