*Position Outline:*
The Pacific Association of First Nations Women+ (PAFNW+) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated _*Indigenous*_ person to join our team. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in organizing and managing activities and events within the Arts & Culture Revitalization Program and other PAFNW+ departments. This position reports to the Arts and Culture Revitalization Lead, Management Circle and Lead Matriarch of PAFNW+. This position is subject to on-going funding.
*Responsibilities:*
Planning and coordination of the PAFNW+ programs including:
* Coordinate language classes and cultural workshops within the Arts & Culture Revitalization Department
* Coordinate events outside of the Arts & Culture Revitalization Department _ie. Elder?s Bingo_
* Keep language and cultural curriculum up to date
* Work with knowledge keepers/workshop facilitators to produce workshops & classes
* Manage the in-house language library
* Manage the coordinator email
* Manage data related to the language classes ie. Student attendance and databases
* Provide regular updates to the Arts & Culture Revitalization Lead on the progress and outcomes of the language classes and workshops
* Work with the Arts & Culture Revitalization team to complete deliverables
*Qualifications:*
* *Have an Indigenous background*
* Excellent event and program coordination
* Experienced in office procedures, Office 365 applications and Canva
* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including resolving conflicts
* Excellent organizational and file management skills
* Having a degree is an asset but not a requirement
* Ability to exercise mature judgement and initiative
* Ability to handle confidential/sensitive material with discretion
* Ability to work flexible hour
* Willingness to learn Indigenous culture and tradition

Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
