Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Installation. Shopwork. Field location. Tasks: Inspect operation of instruments and systems. Repair and adjust system components. Complete test and maintenance reports. Remove and replace defective parts. Calibrate components and instruments. Logical approach for troubleshooting. Determine testing and maintenance procedures. Install new measuring instruments. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work. Control process start-up, shut-down and troubleshooting. Type of service and repair: Pneumatic and electro-pneumatic sequential control system. Electrical control system. Electronic process instrumentation. Pneumatic process instrumentation. Multiple loop control system. Computerized instrumentation system. Primary control element and sensors maintenance and application. Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. Signal converters. Signal conditioners.
