Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Rural area. Women's drop-in centre. Social service or charity agency. Tasks: Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Mental health first aid Certificate. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. Cultural Awareness Training. Target audience: Adolescents. Children. Culturally diverse groups. Families. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office. Area of work experience: Community service organization. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Willing to travel regularly. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Work under pressure.
