Position: Custodial Services Training Program Teacher<p>Course codes: IDC4O, TCH4E<p>Start: As soon as possible<p>End: TBD / all classes are dependent upon student enrollment<p>Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30am to 1:30pm<p>Location: Operations, Maintenance and Admin Centre (OMAC)<p>Applications are currently being accepted for the above position.<p>QUALIFICATIONS:<p>Required:<p> Certificate/Interim Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (in Good Standing)<p> Teaching Experience in Technological Education<p>Desired:<p> Formal Training and/or Experience in Teaching Adults in an Educational Setting<p> Custodial Experience<p> Current Health and Safety Certifications<p>Responsibilities:<p>In-school training November 12, 2024 to January 24, 2025 (Monday to Friday 5 hours per day, 5 days per week)<p>The instructor/coordinator is expected to deliver both the theoretical and practical components of the program<p>THEORY<p> Deliver the Custodial Services Emphasis Course, Technological Education curriculum and the Custodial Services Training Curriculum with a focus on safety practices<p> Provide appropriate assessments and evaluations pertaining to the curriculum<p> Monitor students progress in the course and provide timely and descriptive feedback<p>PRACTICAL<p> Coordinate program safety certifications and guest speakers<p> Coordinate cooperative education placements for students registered in the program<p>Successful teacher should be qualified to teach in subject area. Secondary teachers will be offered a placement prior to consideration of applicants from the elementary or occasional teacher panels.
