Town of ComoxClerk II - Facility Bookings COMOX COMMUNITY CENTREThe Town of Comox invites applications for the permanent Clerk II - Facility Bookings position at the Comox Community Centre. This position serves customers in person, by email and telephone, and is responsible for scheduling facility bookings and park/field rentals. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organization and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and will be comfortable working with a diverse client base. This is a regular full-time (35 hours per week) union position with current rate of pay at $31.34 per hour plus benefits. The position includes a three-month probationary period and is subject to the terms and conditions of the current Collective Agreement between the Town of Comox and CUPE Local 556.Reporting to the Recreation Supervisor, the Clerk II - Facility Bookings provides clerical support to staff, and deals with the public in a sensitive and professional manner at all times.Typical Duties & Responsibilities include:Overseeing facility bookings and coordinating the rental of park and playfield bookings; Acting as a liaison with community groups; Performing reception duties including telephone, email and in person inquiries; Processing program registrations, fitness passes, drop-in user fees; and, Answering customer inquiries regarding facilities, recreation programs, services, and special events.Required Knowledge & Skills:Completion of Grade 12 with Post-secondary Tourism and Hospitality Management Certificate or Business Administration certificate (marketing stream), or equivalent education and work experience; Minimum 2 years? direct office experience; Recreation software management experience preferred; Proficiency with computers, including experience with Microsoft Office suite programs; Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication, organizational, time management and problem solving skills; Emergency First Aid & Community Care (Basic) with CPR-C & AED; and, Current clean criminal record check.A complete job description is available at www.comox.ca/employmentApplications for this posting will be received until 4:00 pm Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.
