Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Chicken farming. Layer poultry farming. Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Work setting: Staff accommodation available. Various locations. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Write daily basic progress reports. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system. Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Transportation supplied to and from work. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Large workload. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Flexibility. Experience: Will train.
