As a candidate, we encourage you to have an open dialogue with a member of our HR Team and ask compensation related questions, including pay details for this role.Job Description:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESCUSTOMERProvide leadership and direction to a high performing Private Trust team ensuring the consistent delivery of a legendary client experienceWork with Trust leadership team to execute an internal partnership strategy to better allow Wealth businesses to capitalize on internal referral opportunitiesIdentify and present solutions that reflect the client's unique situation by using expertise in estate planning, estate and trust administration, taxation and investment strategyRaise the profile of the Private Trust and PWM team through partner and community involvementMaintain effective relationships with internal partners (Wealth, Retail, Commercial etc.), and external centers of influence to ensure an integrated client offering and effective use of resources SHAREHOLDERManage the performance and development of the Private Trust team to ensure a superior employee experience with optimal engagementContribute to the development of the business plan and operationalize the plan and deliver on assigned service or functionalityWork closely with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD's operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scaleTrack business results and coach to superior performance in the achievement of business and financial targetsEnsure programs, policies and practices continue to meet business needs, comply with internal and external requirements, and align with business prioritiesEnsure department operates in compliance with applicable internal and external requirementsEnsure appropriate reporting and escalation of issues based on risk profileFollow and ensure employees are knowledgeable of and comply with Bank and industry codes of conductCoach employees to deliver on the business service and operating modelProtect the interests of the organization ? identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessaryKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteEMPLOYEE / TEAMResponsible for management of the overall team providing both leadership and guidanceSet targets and objectives for the team, and deliver resultsGrow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value deliveredLead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employeesLead the process of setting performance objectives for the team; track, monitor and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely mannerManage employees in compliance with all human resources policies, procedures and guidelines of conductShare knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teamsSupport an environment where team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and successesRecruit for all hires to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce to achieve business objectivesEstablish and foster a cohesive team; promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourage the team to achieve common goals and objectivesAct as a brand ambassador for your business are
