*Full-Time Recruitment Assistant*
At Community Care Durham, coordinated networks of volunteers and inter-professional staff, working out of integrated community hubs and other locations, strive to enrich the well-being and quality of life for people who choose to live at home. As the largest community support services agency in Durham Region, CCD collaborates with its partners and the broader community to address community issues and support local citizens to achieve their goals to live independently.
Human Capital is recruiting a Full-Time Recruitment Assistant to join our Human Capital Team to assistant in the recruitment, selection, and on-boarding cycle. The Recruitment Assistant will report to the Vice President of Human Capital, and provide administrative support to the Recruiter, by scheduling interviews, completing reference checks, and additional tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Reviews resumes and shortlists candidates for vacant positions;
* Pre-screens shortlisted candidates and forwards recommended candidates for interviews;
* Books candidates into interviews in coordination with program Administrative Coordinator;
* Checks references on selected candidates;
* Assists in new hire orientation by collecting on-boarding documents, providing identification badges, access cards, new hire packages, etc.;
* Creates and submits job postings to Recruiter for approval;
* Enters and maintains new hire data into the HRIS;
* Maintains employee information on HRIS and prepares reports to monitor accuracy of information;
* Prepares new hire files and on-boarding packages;
* Updates and monitors Work Back Schedules for recruitment and job fairs;
* Supports hiring manager in providing IT equipment and access as required;
* Inventories recruitment materials;
* Files employment files and documents electronically and in file storage.
*Qualifications required:*
* Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, administration, or equivalent education
* Recent and related experience in Human Resources is an asset
* Basic knowledge of Employment Law (i.e., ESA, AODA, HRC, OHSA, etc.,) is an asset
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Excellent organizational skills
* Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
* Sensitivity to adults with needs related to aging, physical and/or mental health
* Must work in a safe manner and promote the health and safety of all staff, volunteers, clients and the community as outlined within CCD policies
*Compensation: *Starting at $39,000 annually; three (3) weeks? vacation per year of work (pro-rated to hours worked); 9 paid (including stat) holidays; health, insurance and pension benefits when eligible.
