*Fresh Market Foods Employment Opportunity* *Position:* Produce Clerk (Full-Time) *Location:* 79 Queen Street, Sioux Lookout, ON *Overview:* Are you passionate about fresh produce and exceptional customer service? We're looking for a motivated Produce Clerk to join our team and help us deliver top-quality fruits and veggies to our valued customers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a dedicated team, this is the job for you! *Duties/Responsibilities:* * Cut fruits and veggies, and prepare delicious food service items like parfaits and stir-fry mixes. * Ensure prompt stocking and rotation of produce, keeping our cooler, back room, and produce hallway organized and clutter-free. * Provide friendly and professional service, assisting customers and taking accurate orders over the phone. * Conduct quality checks, remove damaged products, and pack orders for delivery. * Maintain a spotless work area by cleaning equipment, sweeping, and mopping as per health and safety standards. * Keep the production team informed about daily waste and fresh product availability. * Follow safe food handling guidelines and store procedures diligently. * Perform opening tasks like setting up the produce floor and closing duties such as turning off devices and disposing of garbage. * Ensure an exceptional shopping experience by addressing inquiries and providing assistance. * Be ready to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. *Qualifications*: * High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, good communication and interpersonal abilities, * Knowledge of health and safety guidelines, availability to work flexible hours * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. * Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends * Strong team player with excellent communication skills *Benefits:* * *Vacation Pay:* 10 vacation days after 1 year. * *Medical & Dental Benefits, Long-Term Disability program*: Accessible after completing a 3-month probation period. * *Wellness Program:* Access to Staff Wellness Program which encompasses the Fresh Market Foods Gym. * *Staff Discount:* 10% discount at Fresh Market Foods and 20% discount at Your Dollar Store with More after 3-month probation. * *RRSP: *After 1 year of employment, eligible to participate in group Registered Retired Savings Plan (RRSP) *Terms of Employment:* Full-time, including weekends and holidays *Closing Date:* Open Until Filled *Apply with Resume or Application Form to:* Liz Ward, Human Resources Manager *Email: *jobs@freshmarketfoods.ca Fresh Market Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
