_*Summary: *_Responsible for the daily management and coordination of all human resource functions across assigned region. Help cultivate a supportive, caring and inclusive company culture.
_*Job Duties:*_
* Input payroll adjustments for regional operations (Manitoba, Saskatchewan & Alberta) bi-weekly
* Manage benefits and RRSP programs by enrolling, terminating and making changes to program in an efficient manner
* Manage ADP system- ensure employee changes are updated, work with managers to ensure timecard information is accurate
* Manage full cycle recruitment process for region, including creating job postings, candidate screening, administering assessments and interviewing, when required
* Coordinate with outside staffing agencies when temporary labour is required
* Draft and present employment offers to new hires and internal transfers; initiate onboarding process to ensure smooth transition
* Ensure all employee work visas are up to date; work with employees and government agencies to help support processes, as needed.
* Foster a positive work environment where employees feel valued and motivated
* Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding various HR related topics
* Participate in continuous improvement, administer various employee programs, policies and procedures
* Maintain complete and accurate HR records for all employees in compliance with relevant standards and legislation
* Adhere to the highest level of privacy and confidentiality
* Conflict management- ensure all employee issues are addressed, investigated and dealt with in a professional and timely manner
* Collaborate with management to identify process improvements and best practices
* Create and update various tracking reports to support department functionality
* Maintain and create new job descriptions
* Administer and support both short- and long-term disability employee claims
* Assist with administering progressive discipline- determine adequate level of discipline, prepare letters, manage investigations, administer PIP?s and involvement in meetings, as required
* Create company memos as needed and support adequate company/employee communication
* Assist with administering annual processes, such as but not limited to, wage increases, bonuses, performance reviews
* Draft employment confirmation letters, as requested
* Support, coordinate, action and align with other HR team members to ensure optical department and team functionality; provide back-up to other Regional HR Manager when needed
* Other duties and special projects, as required
_*Required Knowledge & Qualifications:*_
* Post- secondary education in human resources, or equivalent experience
* Minimum 3 years experience in human resources
* CHRP or CHRL designation an asset
* Previous leadership experience
* Experience in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
* Knowledge of employment legislation, practices and procedures
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
* Team player- must be a people-driven leader who is willing to assist the team to meet company goals
* Communication skills ? this role requires excellent written and oral communication skills,
* Ability to maintain positive relationships and good conflict resolutions skills
_*Working Conditions:*_
* Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
* Ability to attend and conduct presentations
* Overtime, as required
* Travel required
