The position will manage a large-scale access to justice initiative with the objective of easing the challenges Métis people face as they navigate the complexities of the justice system. The initiative is an integral function of the Ministry of Justice that aims to address systemic barriers, current intersecting issues, and holistically supporting the individual through an integration of a trauma informed approach and Métis cultural values. This role requires significant strategic thinking, managing a complex initiative with intricate tasks, and directly supporting Métis people experiencing the justice system. The position will also directly coordinate services for the individual with various MNBC supports, justice partners, organizations, and community services.The Provincial Justice Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Manager, Justice and other managers within the Ministry as it grows and evolves.
