The Manger, Housekeeping will have an exciting opportunity to support seniors and vulnerable members of their community. This position supports over 18,000 hours of housekeeping per year! This individual will provide direction to their team, offering professional expertise and monitoring performance to ensure the departmental and individual objectives are achieved within scheduled timelines and budgets. They will also be tasked with establishing and maintaining a safe , welcoming, and positive work environment. Other duties include the preparation of detailed reports, liaising with other departments and programs and the Leadership Team, and handling inquiries from the community.

*Job Duties*
* Develop and implement strategies for creating or improving processes and procedures to improve performance
* Establish and maintain a productive and positive working environment for all team members.
* Oversee and direct the activities of the team.
* Review departmental performance with the Senior Director
* Utilize information systems to gather, store and distribute assigned information within the organization.
* Provide interdepartmental support as assigned
* Ensure that all staff receive appropriate training on job duties, organizational policies and Ministry guidelines.
* Contribute to the development of department and organizational policies and procedures.
* Provide coaching and mentoring and conduct evaluations of all departmental staff with the support of HR and the Senior Director
* Assist in the development of Department Budgets and ensure efficient management of the budgets with recommendations for cost control and efficient use of company materials
* Provide recommendations for program expansion, efficiencies, innovation and development
* Plan and organize meetings and special events as directed.
* Maintain a sustainable relationship with interdepartmental Senior Director, Managers, HR Generalist etc.
* Chair assigned meetings, take minutes and create agendas
* Stay current on Administrative and Office Management Best Practices
* Monitor departmental performance against strategic goals to ensure that progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken as necessary.
* Attend regular Leadership meetings to provide updates, problem solve and set goals
* Meet regularly with the Senior Director to ensure good communication about all programs, brainstorm ideas, discuss departmental issues and provide updates/ideas on program expansion.
* Perform other duties as necessary
*Requirements*
* Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in a Health-related discipline
* Three years of progressive responsibility in a Leadership Role (Preferred)
* 5 years of experience in the working with the aging population, individuals with cognitive and behavioral issues, adults with physical disabilities and volunteers
* Demonstrated Effective Leadership Skills
* Ability to identify key issues, and creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges and obstacles
* A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization
* Sound understanding of risk management
* Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
