Job Title: Tarion HCRA Warranty Officer
Reports to: COO
Location: BRAMPTON, ON
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tarion Warranty Officer to join our team.
As a Warranty Officer, you will play a critical role in administering the Tarion warranty program, ensuring compliance with the Ontario New Home Warranties
Plan Act, and providing excellent customer service to homeowners and builder.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and administer warranty claims, including reviewing and analyzing documentation, conducting site inspections, and making decisions on claim approvals and denials
Communicate effectively with homeowners, builders, and other stakeholders to resolve warranty issues and provide guidance on the warranty process
Conduct inspections of new homes/CONDOS to ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code and Tarion's warranty standards
Investigate and resolve complex warranty disputes, including negotiating with builders and homeowners to reach mutually acceptable solutions
Maintain accurate records and documentation, including warranty claims, inspections, and correspondence
Collaborate with other Tarion departments to ensure alignment and effective delivery of the warranty program
Stay up-to-date with changes to the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act, the Ontario Building Code, and Tarion's warranty standards
Requirements: -
Certified - HCRA Builder / Vendor Competency (all 7 technical and business competencies)
Experience with Tarion's warranty program and processes
Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., construction, engineering, architecture)
2+ years of experience in a warranty or customer service role, preferably in the residential construction industry
Strong knowledge of the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act and the Ontario Building Code
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
