*Title Accounting Manager*
Reports To Director of Business Operations / COO
Hours Full-Time
Monday-Friday, 9:00 am 5:00 pm
Divisions Served Finance Department
*Summary of Position :*Responsible for providing support to the Director of Business Operations and enhancing the effectiveness and the efficiency of the daily operations of the accounting department.
*Expected Qualities:* Experienced and knowledgeable in full cycle bookkeeping and financial reporting with superior organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and acute attention to detail
*Education: *Education Post-secondary education in Accounting / Finance (interested in pursuing a CPA
designation)
*Experience Required: *3 years' experience in accounting for a small to mid-size company
*Skills Required*: Related Knowledge Proficiency with accounting software (SAGE 50 or Simply Accounting- Preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Proficiency in Payroll processing - (ADP - Preferred)
Legislative Knowledge Must have a firm understanding of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to
employment standards, taxation, CPP, El, health coverage, WSIB, etc...
*Duties & Responsibilities:*
Process cash, credit, on-line payments, bank deposits, verify charitable receipts Monitor and prepare payables, receivables, and social enterprise billings Prepare journal entries and financial reports, with variance analyses Perform bank reconciliation monthly Responsible for payroll, withholdings, and remittances Prepare HST and realty tax rebate submissions
Track agency's Capital Asset Continuity List Balance and reconcile accounts; and assist with managing the organization's cash flow Monitor inventory and procurement practices Assist with monitoring contractual obligations, grants, and funding fulfillment Support the annual audit process Assist with agency budgets, forecasting, analyses, and risk management ,Maintain and archive detailed financial records.
Adhere to health and safety standards and promote health and safety as everyone's responsibility.

Pay: $45,760.00-$52,000.00 per year
