Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Instruct apprentices. Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Realize machine castings to make metal molds, core boxes and precisely shaped models. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification. Tool and die fabrication experience: Gauge blocks. Metal cutting, forming or bending dies. Compound or progressive transfer dies. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety glasses/goggles. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Organized. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?.
