CIMS Limited Partnership is seeking a highly organized and motivated Planner with expertise in the heavy industrial sector. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for industrial construction and maintenance projects, ensuring project timelines are met efficiently. Reporting to the General Superintendent, you will collaborate with project teams and key stakeholders to optimize schedules and support successful project execution.
*You will report to the General Superintendent and be accountable for:*
* Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for industrial construction and maintenance projects.
* Collaborate with project teams to track progress, identify delays, and adjust schedules to meet milestones.
* Ensure schedules reflect the scope of work and modifications accurately.
* Provide analysis of schedule performance, offering reports and justification for any adjustments.
* Work closely with CIMS' Project Management, customers, and subcontractors to optimize work practices.
_*You are the ideal candidate for this role if you:*_
* Diploma or degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 10 years experience in a construction environment, preferably with a background in planning.
* Trade experience is an asset.
* Proficient in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6) and MS Office, with strong spreadsheet capabilities.
* Strong analytical skills to determine timelines based on estimates and collected data.
* Ability to read construction drawings and forms is an asset.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
* Willingness to travel 50%+ to regional offices and client locations.
