The successful candidate for the position of Systems Administrator will be accountable for the installation and maintenance of the Medavie Inc. server and storage infrastructure.</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Ensure the availability of mission critical server and storage infrastructure.</li> <li>Deliver high performance, secured, well maintained and managed business systems to our customers.</li> <li>Delight customers with excellent service.</li> <li>Demonstrate strong team working and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Identify risks to the stability of technology solutions.</li> <li>Enthusiastic learner, willing to research and embrace new technologies.</li> <li>Details and results oriented.</li> <li>Follow and contribute to continuous improvement of departmental processes, methodologies, and standards.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>This opportunity is a Monday to Friday daytime business hours role and requires to be on-site several days per week (Hybrid) in our Moncton, NB Main Street office location. It also requires to participate in a rotating on call schedule with the ability to be available within the required service level.<br> </p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p> <p>As the successful candidate for the position of System Administrator, you will be accountable for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Install various hardware, create virtual servers, configure, and manage physical and virtual hosts, and/or upgrade servers, including the operating system; follow established procedures for installations.</li> <li>Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware technologies.</li> <li>Respond to service requests within the required service levels; interact with customers; answer questions; respond to special requests; provide technical support as required; communicate with 3rd party vendors.</li> <li>Participate in a rotating on call schedule with the ability to be available within the required service level.</li> <li>Support new solution deployments, testing, troubleshooting, and help with issue resolution.</li> <li>Apply firmware and patches to servers; maintain supportability by upgrading server operating systems following established procedures.</li> <li>Monitor systems performance, capacity, usage, health, and security; use tuning products to recommend/implement
