We are seeking full-time cook to provide excellent dining and resident experience for the Personal Care home. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills with previous cook experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen.

Responsibilities:
* Prepares all meals as indicated on menus in accordance with production schedules, standard recipes, and safe food handling procedures.
* Ensures proper portion control and estimates quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements.
* Receives, records, and communicates all diet requisitions and changes as assigned
* Inspects and/or tastes food for quality.
* Prepares meals in accordance with therapeutic and texture modified diets.
* Receives and checks food and supply deliveries and ensure they are stored appropriately.
* Ensures the sanitary handling of dishes, food, equipment and cleanliness of related work areas.
* Attends and participates in department and site meetings and/or in?services as appropriate.
* Communicates effectively and fosters a positive working environment as a member of the team.
* Works harmoniously within the team and collaborates with other departments of the Campus and service providers
* Maintains high standards of sanitation and safety in accordance with the established regulations.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Current Food Handler Training Certificate Level 1 or equivalent Food Sanitation course
* Experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen an asset.
* Available for full time position with 4 to 5 shifts per week some weekend shifts.
* Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
* Mental and physical health to meet demands of position.
* Able to follow direction from multiple individuals.
