Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Denturist's practice. Tasks: Modify dental devices including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps and bands. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Mould wax over dentures set-up. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures. Polish and buff dentures. Re-line and re-base dentures. Fit, adjust and repair dentures. Construct dentures. Technical expertise (dental): Plastering. Packing. Waxing-up. Polishing. Area of specialization: Full dentures. Partial dentures. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Sitting. Personal suitability: Team player. Efficiency. Honesty. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Experience: 5 years or more.
