Our work environment includes: * Modern office setting * Food provided The Network Administrator reports to the Director of Technology and is responsible for planning, designing, implementing network solutions and managing all network components and infrastructure systems, regarding capacity, configuration, problems, changes, performance, availability and security, providing a stable and reliable network infrastructure for all applications that depend on networks. This individual must be proficient in network concepts and technologies and needs to have the ability to work with the business on requirements gathering, research, analysis and identification of alternative solutions, technology selection, design and implementation. As this role is responsible for designing and implementation of network solutions, experience with all aspects of technology solution is an important requirement for this position. The ideal candidate must also have exceptional problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate, and resolve complex problems, and act as the knowledge expert on the Technology team. They must understand complex, mission-critical processes and be able to apply technical expertise to the maintenance and effective use of network resource. This individual should have strong self-direction, communication skill, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. *Responsibilities* * *System Management:* Administer and support all aspects of Servers (Windows/Linux/SQL) and SAN across a physical and virtual (VMware/Hypervisor) environment: on premises or hosting, including installation, configuration, security hardening, and storage/capacity planning. Monitor, analyze and optimize server?s performance and availability by performing proactive tuning and corrective actions to help reduce or eliminate downtime. Oversee Office 365 and other Application administration, including user management, security settings, and integration with other tools and services. * *Network Management:* Design, configure, deploy and manage the network infrastructure to ensure their smooth, reliable, and secure operation for fulfilling business needs/growth, and is configured to adhere to best practices for security and performance. Implement and manage network monitoring tools to detect and resolve issues proactively. * *Backup & DRP:* Manage our cloud backup solution, analyze and predict trends for backup/storage space allocation and data growth to recommend enhancements. Develop and manage network disaster recovery plan (DRP), define the RTO and RPO metrics value based on our business operation requirement and ensure that recovery procedures are working accordingly and are regularly tested. * *Security & Threat Protection:* Manage and monitor threat protection tools, including antivirus, anti-malware, and endpoint security solutions. Provide security awareness training. Implement network security, encryption, and control access permissions and privileges within internal network. Implement, configure and support security tools to assist in identifying and eliminating performance and security/cyber- security risks. Manages SSL certificates for servers. * *Documentation, Asset Management and Reporting*: Maintain technical documentation for the organization?s server/network environment including up-to-date records of hardware configurations, software licenses, maintenance agreements, network diagrams, maintenance operations, ip address, firewall policies, routing tables and troubleshooting steps. Prepare regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and backup status. * *Contract Management:* Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to improve network products and services and ensure SLAs are met. * *Software Application Support: *Provides softwa- LocationLaval, QC
