Protec Dental Laboratories Ltd. is a growing full-service dental laboratory located in the Olympic Village area. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in a Commercial Building Maintenance Worker role. The ideal candidate must have good communication and interpersonal skills, a natural curiosity and willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as a team player and independently.
The Building Maintenance Worker will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
*What You Will Be Doing*
* Perform maintenance tasks based on written and oral instructions.
* Perform preventative maintenance works to avoid possible failures and malfunctions.
* Analyze and troubleshoot repair and maintenance requests including repairing drywall, equipment, building facilities, replacing light bulbs, etc., as necessary.
* Waste disposal.
* Various equipment cleaning and maintenance.
* Respond to and perform emergency maintenance and repairs as needed.
* Install appliances and equipment.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to be in safe, clean, and good working order.
* Stock adequate maintenance materials and equipment to avoid shortages and excesses.
* Maintain complete records of daily maintenance activities.
* Work closely with colleagues and other professionals.
* Attend job training and safety programs organized by the maintenance department.
* Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
* Aid co-workers when needed.
* Task flexibility, be prepared to adapt to different tasks as priorities shift.
* Perform other related duties and activities as required.
*What You Will Need*
* Minimum 2 years of experience performing routine maintenance of buildings and equipment.
* Ability to read technical manuals and drawings considered an asset.
* Good knowledge of facilities maintenance, HVAC systems, small equipment repairs, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical systems.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Good command of the English language, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid Class 5 driver?s license with a clean driving record is considered an asset.
* Good with technology.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Skilled in using both hand and power tools.
* Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
* Capable of staying focused and productive when working independently.

*Hours of Work*
* Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day from 10 AM to 7 PM.
* Late shift vacation coverage when needed from 1 PM to 10 PM.
* Willing and able to work weekends and overtime as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
