*Summary:*
This role is responsible to safely and efficiently move product into, through and out of the Distribution Center using powered industrial vehicles, utilize RF scanner device, read and communicate with warehouse management.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Develop a strong working relationship with the warehouse team at all levels to ensure timely and consistent communication and understanding of both floor issues.
* Operate sit down powered industrial truck (both forks and clamp)
* Operate standup reach truck
* Operate vertical lift, along with proper use of fall protection equipment
* Responsible for unloading import/export containers and domestic trailers to receiving dock
* Responsible for removing product from the receiving dock and putting away to proper storage locations
* Pulls and packs product based on daily orders.
* Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
* Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
* Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
* Responsible for inspecting merchandise and products to ensure they have the right items, are not damaged, and nothing is missing per the order.
* Keep management team informed of all pertinent information and developments
* Ability to adjust to the changing needs of a fast-paced warehouse environment
* Keep track of tools and equipment that are needed to pick/ship orders and ensure they are in good working order
* Other duties as assigned
*Education and/or Experience*
* High School diploma or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must have 1-2 years of sit down Fork and Clamp Truck experience
* RF Scanner experience
* Knowledge of ERP software and basic MS Office suite.
* Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
* Good communication (verbal & written) with all levels
* Strong time management skills
* Basic computer skills/knowledge/ SAP experience preferred
* Able to work as part of a team and independently
* Basic math knowledge
* Adherence to safety requirements
* Ability to lift items and containers
