*Job Summary:*
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the supply chain operations to ensure timely and efficient shipment of goods. This role will report to the Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager and work closely with the Purchasing, Warehouse, and Sales departments. The ideal candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality service. They should possess strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset, with a drive to optimize logistics operations for efficiency and in a cost-effective manner.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Plan and manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management including receiving goods.
* Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, obtain all paperwork regarding materials packing list, and Bill of lading (BOL).
* Monitor and track the status of deliveries.
* Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in logistics.
* Maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts in the ERP.
* Resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies and processes with the Supply Chain Manager.
* Develop a cost-effective carrier network that meets CMB needs including on and offsite storage.
*Skills and Qualifications:*
* Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management (minimum 3 years preferred).
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of North American customs requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
