*Apprentice Pipefitter* Scovan is looking for Apprentice Pipefitters to join our team in Ponoka on the night shift! This position offers stable, full-time hours with an opportunity to grow and learn from our hard-working team! *Duties:* * Measuring and selecting type and size of pipe and related materials according to drawings and job specifications * Assemble and install a variety of valves and fittings * Secure pipe to structures and clamps, brackets or hangers * Ability to measure accurately, lay out work, cut, bevel, threat and fit pipe * Hydrotest, assemble and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility * Inspect job sites to determine presence of obstructions, plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and the activities of other crafts * Knowledge around cranes and equipment. Recognize spool hoisting points and utilize proper rigging techniques and signals * Working at various heights, either on scaffold or AWP * Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions * Other duties as assigned *Qualifications:* * Must be a registered apprentice * CSTS2020 * Fall Arrest * AWP *Details:* * Full-time hours - Typical shift is Monday to Thursday, 10-hour days. * Shifts may vary based on workload requirements. * All work is completed in our industrial module yard in Ponoka, Alberta.
