The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 993 (IBEW 993) is a labour union representing Northern British Columbia and The Yukon Electrical Workers.
We are hiring journey-person and apprentice electricians of all levels to work on industrial and commercial projects around British Columbia and Yukon.
*Responsibilities:*
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks across projects located in Northern British Columbia and Yukon. The ideal candidate will be experienced and capable of handling electrical work with precision and attention to safety. The specific responsibilities include:
*Installation and Maintenance:* Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards.
*Troubleshooting:* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
*Blueprint Interpretation:* Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams to execute tasks accurately.
*Safety Compliance:* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
*Collaboration:* Work collaboratively with project teams and other trades to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into larger construction projects.
*Quality Assurance:* Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
*Documentation:* Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any relevant documentation required for compliance.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program.
* Journeyman Electrician certification.
* Experience in electrical work, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to safety in all work activities.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
A daily tax-free Living-Out-Allowance will be included.
The shift will be 14 days on and 7 days off, 10 hours a day.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.24-$55.36 per hour
Expected hours: 70 per week
