We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our procurement team as a Senior Buyer in Saint John, NB. The successful individual must possess a great attitude, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage several projects/tasks at a time.Key Responsibilities: Procurement support to all organizational personnel for day-to-day requirements, with emphasis on engineering and maintenance requirementsMaintain effective supplier relationships utilizing various purchasing strategiesResponsible for Procuring Materials in accordance with established Saint John LNG Procurement Policies & Practices, including request for proposal (RFP) preparation / evaluation and contract managementNegotiating price, terms, conditions, and service deliverables with vendorsEvaluate vendor quality, cost, and delivery performanceEnable department leaders to make informed decisions by providing options and recommendations based on data and analysisProvide Procurement Support for MRO Stores Stock & Non-stock Inventory as requiredAssist in Vendor Analysis & Negotiations, including management of all Vendor Qualification RequirementsProvide expediting support for all critical shipmentsManaging logistics, importing and customs requirementsFacilitate issue resolution with vendorsQualifications:5-10 years of previous experience as buyer, purchasing agent or sourcing specialistMRO experience with a technical background in an Industrial or Construction environment would be considered an assetPrevious experience with SAP or equivalent Procurements Software with Inventory Management & MaterialsProficient with the Microsoft software: MS Word, Teams, Excel & Power PointSCMP designation or completion of SCMA courses would be considered an assetExcellent communications and negotiation skillsWe are offering a full-time, permanent position with a comprehensive benefits package:Work from home flexibilityCompetitive pay scaleA flexible health, drug, and dental planAn employer-matching retirement savings planAdditional life and disability insurance optionsConfidential access to an Employee Family Assistance Program (EAP)Company incentive programPhysical fitness reimbursement programIf you are interested in this opportunity, please forward a resume in confidence by clicking on Apply Online Now button.We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those candidates who will be moving on in the interview process will be contacted.
