Our caring approach carries through in the way we treat one another as teammates. <strong>This is a remote position however you will be required to come into the office every Thursday.</strong></p><p>Challenge yourself to grow in new directions and make your unique difference in ways that truly matter - join Arbor Memorial.</p><p><strong>About This Role:</strong></p><p>Under the direction of the Supervisor, Human Resources, the Bilingual Human Resources Advisor provides superior Human Resources ("HR") advice and guidance to employees and all levels of management in the areas of employee relations, compensation, legislative compliance, employee communication, recruitment, training and development, health and safety, research and statistical reporting and labour relations.</p><p>The Bilingual Human Resources Advisor will have areas of focus on employee relations, engagement, culture and training. Working with the HR team, the Bilingual HR Advisor will help to achieve Arbor's strategic goals, attain key performance indicators and contribute to the HR business plan.</p><p><strong>Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Fully fluent in French and English, written and verbal.</li><li>Completion of a College diploma or University degree specializing in Business or Human Resource Management</li><li>Possessing the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRL) designation is preferred.</li><li>3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist or Advisor experience with a focus in the areas of employee relations including performance management, conducting investigations, health and safety and legislative issues.</li><li>Strong general knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles with excellent judgment and consulting skills.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Quebec employment standards legislation and Bill 96.</li><li>Ability to build and develop relationships throughout the Company to build on Arbor's culture and employee experience.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provides employee relations advice and guidance to managers and supervisors within designated client groups and other employee groups as required.</li><li>Provides advice and recommendations to managers on the performance management process, progressive discipline approach and strategy, performance improvement plans, performance evaluation program and termination management.</li><li>Assists with claims received from regulatory bodies to ensure legislative compliance, including Employment Standards, Ministry of Labour, Human Rights Commission, and provincial Health and Safety agencies.</li><li>Manages the investigation process in its entirety which includes conducting workplace investigations, completing the report and making recommendations to management based on the findings.</li><li>Receives accident reports and manages active claims through CNESST, Work Safe, and WCB with a focus on accommodation and return to work.
