WellMind Counselling is an anti-oppressive, fat positive, queer affirming trauma counselling agency serving the greater Kamloops area and virtually across British Columbia. We specialize in supporting individuals with who have experienced trauma, including childhood trauma and sexualized violence. We also see folks experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and life transitions.
*Position Summary*
Your primary responsibility in this contract will be to provide high-quality in-person trauma counselling services. While your primary case load will be individuals, we are also very interested in folks who work with couples or children. In this role you are given freedom to work with clients in the way that you and they feel is most appropriate.
This position is a counselling contractor role within WellMind; this role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to shape your own work-life balance. You'll benefit from the support, referrals, and collaborative environment of the WellMind team, ensuring you?re connected to a values-driven, trauma-informed agency, while still having the freedom to work as you see fit.
*Responsibilities*:
* Provide professional trauma counselling services to clients.
* Maintain confidential and accurate records of client sessions and progress notes in compliance with ethical standards and WellMind Counselling's policies.
* Engage in continuous professional development and adhere to ethical standards in practice.
* Participate in marketing activities to grow your client base.
*Work Schedule and Caseload*:
* Flexible work hours based on client and organizational needs.
* Minimum caseload of 8 clients per week with availability for as many sessions per week as you're interested in having. Hours to be determined based on your schedule and client needs.
*Job Requirements*
* Must hold a Masters Degree in a relevant Discipline (ie counselling, social work, etc)
* Must be registered with applicable licensing body, such as BCACC, CCPA or BCCSW
