JOB OVERVIEW
Jake's House is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual for the role of a Program Coordinator, focusing on supporting the employment placements for individuals with autism and other neurodiverse conditions. This position involves supporting the Employment Training Program (ETP), working closely with candidates, employers, community partners and the team supporting the employment training program. Tasks include conducting outreach to find suitable candidates, matching them with job placements, providing resume and interview support, post-placement support, and ongoing coaching and mentoring. The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful integration into new job roles and fostering positive relationships with employers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Candidate Engagement:
* Reach out to candidates seeking employment support at Jake's House.
* Conduct initial assessments to understand individual strengths, skills, and employment goals.
* Provide personalized guidance and support throughout the job application process.
* Job Matching:
* Identify and evaluate job opportunities suitable for candidates based on their skills and aspirations.
* Facilitate the matching process, ensuring alignment between candidate and job requirements.
* Collaborate with employers to understand their needs and expectations.
* Coaching and Mentoring:
* Develop and implement personalized coaching plans for candidates to enhance their employability.
* Provide ongoing support, addressing challenges, and fostering skill development.
* Conduct mock interviews, resume workshops, and other training activities.
* Employer Collaboration:
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with employers.
* Act as a liaison between candidates and employers to ensure smooth integration.
* Provide ongoing support to employers, addressing any concerns and promoting inclusivity.
* Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate records of candidate progress and interactions.
* Generate regular reports on program effectiveness and success stories.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor?s degree in a related field (Social Work, Human Resources, etc.) or equivalent experience.
* Experience in employment services, job coaching, or a related field is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
