Staff accommodation provided. Room and board provided. Tasks: Operate, maintain and repair deck equipment. Operate and maintain off-loading liquid pumps and valves. Monitor engine, machinery and equipment indicators. Lubricate moving parts of engine, machinery and auxiliary equipment. Clean engine parts and keep engine room clean. Assist in performing routine maintenance work and repair to ship's engine, machinery and auxiliary equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Transport Canada engine room rating Certification. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Willing to travel for extended periods. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Flexibility. Judgement.
