*Company Intro:* Empire Controls has been specializing in high quality installations of building automation systems (BAS), direct digital controls (DDC), energy management controls systems (EMCS) and mechanical equipment wiring for over 20 years. *Job Position Description:* The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience. As an ideal candidate you will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and take on projects that range in increasing complexity. If chosen you will be preparing custom controls logic to suit the project scope and commission the control systems (HW, DHW Systems, etc.). You will also be working on the Building Automation System by means of customizing graphics tailored to the end user experience, as well as provide training on how to use the JCI Facility Explorer (FX) brand. Other responsibilities would include reviewing mechanical drawings issued by the consultant and prepare for each system (HW System, DHW System, etc.) the control schematics, sequence of operations, along with the Control Valve schedules, Damper schedules, among other requirements that may be necessary for the overall project. Travel / onsite visits will include and not be limited to inspecting, commissioning, and troubleshooting. *Top Benefits* As a team member at Empire Controls Ltd. you?ll enjoy: · Group Benefits after 3 months · Commuter Benefits · Company Pension · Paid Vacation *Requirements:* · Willingness to travel to construction Jobsites · Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering graduate · Valid Ontario Driver?s License and access to own vehicle. · Ability to obtain a security clearance check. · Strong knowledge of electronic and pneumatic controls and starter circuitry. · Knowledge of building mechanical systems, building controls applications, electrical wiring and control circuits. · PC skills, including development of spreadsheet programs, use of word processing and database software and Microsoft windows with competency in IT (networking, port forwarding). · Competent at programming in languages and software tools such as BASIC, C++, Visio. AutoCad. · Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat is a plus. *Responsibilities:* · Effectively work as a technical professional by delivering high quality and prompt services to clients. · Ability to organize multiple priorities and to set and meet personal goals and deadlines. · Ensure project costs are within budgets that meet project deadlines consistently. · Oversee and execute field installation and testing as well as service and commission DDC systems with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. · Trouble-shoot systems and provide hands on work to support the operation of the Empire Controls installers. · Coordinate with Mechanical Contractors to meet scheduled startup dates without any delays and interruptions. · Creating programs for equipment using Programmable Ladder Logic. *Soft Skills:* · Ability to organize multiple priorities and to set and meet personal goals and deadlines. · Ability to represent the company in a professional manner. · Effective communication and interpersonal skills. · Strong focus on customer service. · Able to work in a team environment and with a minimum amount of direction/supervision. · Good judgment and problem-solving skills. · Time management. · Punctuality.
