Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Asset languages: Spanish; Castilian. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Odours. Dusty. At heights. Work setting: Urban area. Rural area. Tasks: Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation. Determine type of treatment required. Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas. Place and set traps to capture and remove animals. Install animal control barriers to keep animals off property. Clean out areas that harbour pests. Advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Professionalism in customer service. Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Provincial Pesticide Applicator Licence. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Equipment and machinery experience: Animal traps. Electrical sprayers. Netting devices. Hand tools. Area of specialization: Pesticides. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding.
