Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: At heights. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Outdoors. Work setting: Commercial. Institutional. Various locations. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster. Cure freshly plastered surfaces. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency. Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus.
