The Manager, HRBP works with their Director, HRBP to partner with the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) business within the Global Banking & Markets (GBM) business line to recommend and implement client-specific HR solutions that are aligned with business strategies. This role partners with HRBP's locally and globally to ensure programs and policies are aligned with CIB' strategies and are successfully implemented and ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Manager, HRBP is accountable for building and maintaining strong relationships with the business groups they support, under the supervision of the Director, HRBP. The Manager, HRBP will leverage knowledge, best practices and direction to provide guidance and counsel to Leaders and Management teams, supporting the building and maintenance of a skilled and motivated workforce capable of and committed to, delivering their business strategy. This includes providing advice and guidance on sensitive issues including total rewards, performance management, development, diversity and inclusion, change management and employee engagement. This role will also be a key support in driving cyclical programs within GBM such as the annual promotion process. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: Collaborates with the HRBP teams across the Bank and key HR partners, to help build and maintain a capable workforce that will be committed to delivering the Bank's strategies and promoting Scotiabank as an employer of choice. Provides effective relationship management for stakeholders within the assigned client portfolio by:o Building and managing relationships, gaining a solid understanding of their business strategies, goals, and objectives in order to respond to their short- and long-term needs.o Working with Director, HRBP to determine the major HR implications of the Stakeholders' strategies and identifying, developing and implementing HR recommendations and solutions to support those strategies and Scotiabank's goals and objectives.o Collaborating with Global Center of Excellence (COE) teams, including Leadership, Total Rewards, Employee Relations in order to support Stakeholders' with the ever changing HR needs of a diverse, global workforce.o Providing sound guidance and monitoring existing Bank programs and processes to ensure they continue to meet Stakeholders' current and future needs. Providing support on talent, leadership and employee development for stakeholders by:o Supporting on delivering client specific initiatives related to recruitment, leadership resource planning, learning & development, retention & employee engagement.o Partnering with Stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the delivery/implementation of new global and local HR programs, policies and initiatives; This includes but it is not limited to: supporting talent calibration, performance management, leadership and employee development initiatives, improving processes to facilitate more effective coordination and execution of leadership initiatives, and providing advice and counsel.o Analyzing and interpreting a wide range of information and metrics to drive decisions and solutions for issues around compensation, employee engagement and diversity and inclusion and prepare presentations and reports of observations and recommendations based on findings. Providing support on total rewards matters for stakeholders within assigned client portfolio by:o Reviewing and analyzing survey results and recommending any changes to ensure out employment value offer is competitive and tailored to market trends.o Liaising with Total Rewards on specific programs and ad-hoc requests to keep abreast of compensation philosophy and direction.
